Angolan Heroes Day is celebrated every September 17th and commemorates their hero Anthonio Neto.

“Today’s celebration will not be business as usual due to the corona virus prevention guidelines, that we are now going to meet with tech specialists.”

Angolan Ambassador to Rwanda, Eduardo Octávio, says legacy left by their hero should be Africans’ legacy:
“The legacy we have left includes the art of peace and unity to end war. Legacy has often left us with a public listener of poetry, so it should be an African legacy.”

Antonio Agostinho Neto, the first president of Angola to fight for national independence, found himself in solitary confinement and was then released and ruled from 1975 to 1979.
